Digital Harmony is a collaborative partnership pilot program orchestrated by City Commissioner Andrew Gillum designed to extend the education process and expand computer use into the homes of children in underserved areas of our community. In this pilot, every incoming sixth grader at R. Frank Nims Middle School will receive a new desktop computer, free internet access, and online academic curriculum training on core class curriculum.
TalTech Alliance has taken a major role in the Digital Harmony Project, providing leadership, creative solutions, and a wide variety of corporate resources. Several TalTech member companies and organizations have made significant contributions to the project. Comcast is donating broadband service to each home, GO BEYOND LLC has developed the ongoing support mechanism which includes the active participation of technology students at local universities, having the additional benefit of providing those students practical hands-on experience. Signeo Creative developed the Digital Harmony brand and provided project planning. PATLive is providing the Help Phone answering service. Messer, Caparello & Self provided legal counsel for the project. Paul Consulting developed the website. Technology Services Group provided project planning and developed the user handbook. And those are just some of the services TalTech is providing!
TalTech is tasked to raise the funds necessary for the ongoing intern-staffed help desk support and Club Tech! after-school program. Please support this impactful and worthwhile local initiative with a generous contribution.
Additionally, TalTech is recruiting companies and organizations to give presentations and lead activities for the sixth graders participating in Club Tech, held on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm at R. Frank Nims Middle School. As part of the Digital Harmony project, Club Tech's mission is to increase awareness and foster interest in technology among its sixth grade participants. If your company or organization would like to participate by designing and leading a day at Club Tech, please contact Jason Stamm at 850-894-1754 or jason@gobeyondllc.com
