The twentieth century criminal Willie Sutton was said to rob banks because “that’s where the money is”. The same motivation in our digital age makes anyone dealing with cardholder data the new target for financial fraud. More than 234 million records with sensitive information have been breached since January 2005 according to Privacy Rights Clearinghouse.org. Compliance with the Payment Card industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) helps to alleviate these vulnerabilities and protect cardholder data.

Presenter Bio

Jason has worked in the Information Security industry in various roles for more than 12 years.  Jason is experienced in conducting security management functions, disaster recovery planning and testing, network security architecture design, and corporate security assessments. Mr. Durbin held positions previously as Network Security Architect and Sr. Network Security Engineer for a defense contractor, Network Manager for a major financial institution, and as Security Engineer for a major transportation services company.  He currently holds the position of Senior Security Consultant with Idea Information Security.
