Come join TalTech Alliance, IT Florida, and Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) as we discuss topics and priorities for Information Technology in 2010's upcoming Legislative session.

On hand will be Matt Doster, Executive Director of ITFlorida and Michael Briggs, IT Council Chair of AIF, both of whom have been highly active in the Florida legislative arena on behalf of IT and business.  For those who are interested in this year's planned legislative activities or for those who simply want a preview of what could be in store for their own businesses and IT operations after the session is over, this presentation is sure to be full of helpful information and insight.

"ITFlorida and the regional technology organizations around the state are looking forward to the Legislative session this spring," said Matt Doster, executive director of ITFlorida.  "For the leaders in all technology sectors, it is as critical as ever to be communicating regularly with our elected officials and policy makers.  We have so many opportunities to leverage technology to make a stronger economy and a more effective state government, and we need partners like the TalTech Alliance to accomplish this mission."

ALSO:  TalTech needs YOUR help.  We want to know what you'd like to hear from our speakers.  If you have questions to ask our speakers, or topics you'd like to be addressed as they relate to IT and Florida law-making, please forward them to admin@taltech.org by Tuesday, January 19.  We'll gather together all your responses and provide them to the speakers beforehand to help them target their presentations to your interests.

About IT Florida

ITFlorida is an umbrella, not-for-profit, membership organization that represents Florida's diverse information technology communities on a statewide basis. ITFlorida was formed in October 2001 after the sunset of the Information Service Technology Development Task Force, which focused on developing state policies to enable Florida to compete in the information age. ITFlorida built on the momentum of the Task Force and fills the need for a single statewide advocacy organization to represent Florida's IT-related technology sectors.

About AIF

Known as “The Voice of Florida Business” in the Sunshine State, Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) has represented the principles of prosperity and free enterprise before the three branches of state government since 1920.  A voluntary association of diversified businesses, AIF was created to foster an economic climate in Florida conducive to the growth, development, and welfare of industry and business and the people of the state.
