Local Symposium to Foster Discussion Among Women in Information Technology Professions

To help women in the male-dominated information technology (IT) field build relationships, promote a sense of community and inspire one another, the Florida State University College of Business and Department of Management Information Systems are hosting the 9th Annual WIT (Women in Information Technology) Symposium next month.
 
The symposium is designed to engage women in IT and technology-related business professions in meaningful discussions on a variety of technical, professional and lifestyle topics. It also seeks to foster personal connections between IT professionals and students, as well as develop mentoring relationships between female students and women already in IT and technology-related professions.
 
The 9th Annual WIT Symposium will take place:

Caryn Beck-Dudley, dean of Florida State’s College of Business, will give the evening’s opening comments. The keynote speaker will be Marie Howe, deputy director of the Florida Office of Legislative Information Technology Services. Over dinner, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in round-table discussions and informal networking.
