The Retiring Technology Workforce: How to ensure continuity of human intellectual property

This section will present an overview of the impending retirement of the baby boomer generation over the next 5 to 15 years andĀ its impact on the workforce and in particular IT organizations. We will examine the challenges and opportuntities of the changing workforce to gain an understanding of the differences in working with and managing across the generations. Lastly we will take a look at what executives and managers need to be doing to put a plan in place to ensure the succession of leadership, the transfer of knowledge and the growth and retention of the people and skills needed to be successful in a changing IT envirnoment.
