Tallahassee, Fla. – Business leaders, IT professionals, startup teams and project managers have until Monday to register for the ninth annual TechExpo, happening March 30 from 7:00 a.m.-4:45 p.m. at the Turnbull Conference Center at Florida State University. Presented by the Tallahassee Technology (TalTech) Alliance and sponsored by Velocity Online, this regional conference focuses on new industry developments and innovative business solutions to help increase productivity while leveraging technology. Throughout the day, TechExpo will feature two keynote speakers, a series of breakout sessions, a hands-on cloud workshop, a tech-town hall discussion and networking opportunities with exhibitors.
In addition, this year TechExpo has partnered with Florida State University’s Digitech Conference to promote student collaboration. In the afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to venture downstairs and explore FSU students’ creative works, tech startups, apps and robotic exhibits on display, network with top-tier STEM students, recruit local talent and participate in Digitech’s Shark Tank-style competition and awards ceremony. Students do not need to register in advance for free admission to TechExpo.
This year’s TechExpo keynote speakers include James Taylor, executive director of the Florida Technology Council, who will discuss how IT businesses can successfully negotiate and work with Florida legislators, and Seth Goldenberg, founder and CEO of Epic Decade, who will share the successes of his unique business model and his experiences from living a life which combines design, culture and business. The day will also feature breakout sessions geared toward two tracks – project management and technical – by which attendees can fine-tune their experiences according to personal interests and professional goals. A variety of topics will be covered including mobile technology, cybercrime, software management, digital and social media marketing, IT infrastruc
ture, data recovery, cloud-based enterprise and more.
“TechExpo will bring together Tallahassee experts and nationally recognized leaders, creating a fusion of local perspective and global enterprise,” said TalTech’s TechExpo Chair Amanda Kuff. “We hope attendees will leave feeling enlightened and inspired to incorporate new tech developments and strategies into their business or organizational models.”
